Our Catherine Houghton Arts Center at The White Mountain School had a ribbon cutting ceremony a short time ago, and Will Ruhl was honored to be holding one half of the amusingly oversized scissors. Outside the thermometer was hovering close to 0 degrees, but inside students were enjoying their new dance, painting/drawing, and music studios. Their excitement was palpable, and such a treat to witness after so much time, effort, and passion that went into the architectural design. The Denver-based photographer (and WMS grad) David Budd was on hand to document the event, and a few of his evening photographs are included below, along with a few crack-of-dawn photographs by Will. We’re looking forward to finishing the site work in the early spring once the snow melts, the ground thaws, and the mud settles…
